It can be used with most of the silk painting techniques including resist, salt, watercolour, and batik. Best of all this paint simply requires ironing to fix. After a wash to remove resist or excess salt, the fabric is soft and retains its natural sheen.
The lightening medium will create paler shades without altering the technical characteristics of the paint. The water based gutta is ideal for creating designs, theyĀ have a thick consistency and create a resist barrier so the paints do not bleed into each other.Ā
